Smoke Some Hookah and Celebrate Sukkot!!!

Next week starts the holiday of Sukkot, the commemoration of the Jews spending 40 years in the dessert after the exodus of Egypt. What a better way to celebrate the holiday than by smoking some hookah (fruit flavored tobacco) and singing your favorite Russian songs.

Spend an evening immersed in the culture of art form that has developed over thousands of years and hundreds of countries to become one of the most diverse and fascinating folk dancing experiences. Its remarkable contemporary rebirth symbolically goes hand in hand with the creation and development of Israel.

The high pace and easy to remember moves are a great way to relief the stress of school and work and will leave you wanting more by the end of the night.

Finding Common Ground: Supporting Israel in a Time of Transition

This exciting student conference will have sessions geared toward supporting Israel in our new era of Israeli foreign relations. Highlights include the Jeruslem Post and New Republic columnist, Yossi Klein Helevi, a concert by the Israeli group "Fools of Prophecy" and a special session for Russian Speaking students.

The cost is just $60 for all conference costs (including hotel) or $25 without the hotel (if you want to stay with your Madison friends).
