    The fall is definitely here. The leaves are turning all the possible shades of yellow, orange and red, the nights are getting longer and the days are getting colder.

    If the autumn blues have caught up with you, don't forget about our "Hookah in the Sukkah" party tomorrow night to keep you warm and entertained. Good luck on your midterms!

    Smoke Some Hookah and Celebrate Sukkot!!!

    Next week starts the holiday of Sukkot, the commemoration of the Jews spending 40 years in the dessert after the exodus of Egypt. What a better way to celebrate the holiday than by smoking some hookah (fruit flavored tobacco) and singing your favorite Russian songs.

    Bring your musical instruments and come ready to celebrate the holiday in style, Russian style!!! $2 suggested donation. For more info or to RSVP, contact Ilana.

    Finding Common Ground: Supporting Israel in a Time of Transition

    This exciting student conference will have sessions geared toward supporting Israel in our new era of Israeli foreign relations. Highlights include the Jeruslem Post and New Republic columnist, Yossi Klein Helevi, a concert by the Israeli group "Fools of Prophecy" and a special session for Russian Speaking students.

    The cost is just $60 for all conference costs (including hotel) or $25 without the hotel (if you want to stay with your Madison friends).

    We have to present a Russian Hillel table to tell HS students and their parents about Russian Programming in Chicago. Who is available any time between 12- 5 pm? Let Misha know. .
