Cafe Hillel ---NEW---

From Hillel's Israel/Culture Committee about a new and different initiative -

Hello Hillelians,

So, the new year is well on its way and that brings the idea of reflection to the forefront. Every secular new year we
make resolutions which we painfully try to abide by. For the Jewish new year, we wanted to try something new....

(Drum roll please.....)

CAFE HILLEL!

(are you excited yet)

Come to Alana Kinarsky's house next week (Tuesday, September 25) and lets drink a cup of coffee (and chow down on some great, free Israeli food) while we talk about Israel and its connection to the Jewish people, or the connection the Jewish people have to Israel? This will be a jump off point...

During the second meeting we will continue to talk about this connection by looking at some Israeli song lyrics, hearing some of the music...

So here are a few more details -
There are two meeting times which we would like to you commit to, September 25th and October 30th from 7-8:30 pm both times. We promise there will be warm kosher meals provided and a very comfortable cushion for your tush.
Anything else?

So listen, we hope you will join us, we would love to have you! Email Amy Galanter ASAP if you can come, agalant@luc.edu,  so we can figure out who is cool and who isn't. She will give you the address of Alana's apartment.  Bring some original thoughts and pick up two short articles to read for the first meeting.  The articles are on the counter in Hillel!

Love,
Amy, Konstantin, and Alana
