    We also wanted to clear up a little confusion. Even if events are not happening on your campus we encourage you to come to as many programs as possible regardless of which school you attend. So- now that you know this we can't wait to see you at everything!

    With the help and the support of the Gordon Brookstone Cultural Arts Fund, The Hillels of Illinois is pleased to announce that during the course of the '05-'06 academic year, Jewish students at our area campuses will be able to take advantage of highly subsidized tickets to world class cultural events in Chicago and Illinois. Limited numbers of tickets to specific events will be available on a "first come - first served" basis. Tickets must be picked up and paid for, in advance, from the Hillel staff at your college or university. Unclaimed tickets will be awarded to students who are on the waiting list. (Students who have already received GBCFUnd tix this semester have wait-list status.) To reserve "Gordon Brookstone Cultural Fund" Tickets, RSVP to hillel@juf.org with your : Name: Address: Phone Number and Email Address Name of School, Year in school Number of tickets requested (maximum 2) You will be contacted by a member of your Hillel staff to make arrangements to pick up and pay for the tickets.     Matisyahu Concert!
    Hasidic Reggae

    Hasidic Reggae? Hasidic Reggae. In the crowded New York reggae scene, Matisyahu literally stands out like no other. Beyond his versatile voice which ranges from sweet and fluid, to rough and rugged, he's a very unexpected face; standing over six feet tall, wearing the traditional garb of a Hasidic male. With his long beard and black hat, this 24-yr-old lyricist, MC, and beatboxer is a singular performer, whose power, poetry, and skills combine the sounds of Bob Marley and Shlomo Carlebach, yet remaining wholly original.RSVP to Emily at emilybriskman@juf.org/312- 673-2350 by Nov. 7th to get tickets through HAC!

    Design Contest Opportunity
    Win a $50 gift certificate to Borders

    Want to be part of something great and help stomp out homelessness and hunger? The Interfaith Youth Core brings young people from diverse faiths together to serve the Chicago community and build understanding. Help the Interfaith Youth Core design a poster campaign for their Homelessness and Hunger Collection Drive. The contest winner will be picked Nov. 15th at the IFYC office and will receive a $50 gift certificate to Borders. 3 finalists will be asked to present their design in front of the IFYC Committee.

    All submissions must be in by Nov. 13th. Please include your full name, phone number and e-mail address with your submission. You will be contacted when your submission has been received.
