    They are involved in such diverse projects as helping families affected by the disengagement to supporting teenagers who immigrated from the Former Soviet Union and are adjusting to their new lives in Israel.

    This exciting student conference will have sessions geared toward supporting Israel in our new era of Israeli foreign relations. Highlights include the Jeruslem Post and New Republic columnist, Yossi Klein Helevi, a concert by the Israeli group "Fools of Prophecy" and a special session for Russian Speaking students.

    The cost is just $60 for all conference costs (including hotel) or $25 without the hotel (if you want to stay with your Madison friends).

    Next week starts the holiday of Sukkot, the commemoration of the Jews spending 40 years in the dessert after the exodus of Egypt. What a better way to celebrate the holiday than by smoking some hookah (fruit flavored tobacco) and singing your favorite Russian songs.
